Dear Pink Floyd

My mum has always wanted to write to you to thank you for the years of wonderful music that cannot be expressed by words to describe it. In my whole life I have never ever heard a more soul touching sound but that of your music.

My mum was born in Russia and I believe the first album she ever bought was Pink Floyd's. Not entirely sure which one but that doesn't matter. Most of her English comes from learning the lyrics to your songs and listening to the delicate and carefully arranged music. I was also brought up to appreciate the most influential band that the world has ever seen yet.

We thank you for all your work and your determination.
