Letters To Pink Floyd

Dear Pink Floyd,

I thought I would just take some time to write you all a letter to tell you about how I feel about you and your music. Its been around 4 years since I first picked up that record, I do believe it was The Division Bell, since I first started to listen to you.

I remember walking into that record store in downtown Toronto for the first time eagerly looking for something to buy. I looked over to my left and saw a whole display of Pink Floyd albums from Dark Side Of The Moon to Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. The cover which appealed to me most was Storm Thorgerson's masterpiece cover art for The Division Bell. So I said what the heck and then took it to the check out counter (Who ever said to never judge a book by its cover???).

Who would have thought that 4 years later I would own every single one of those albums on that record display. Not to mention several other Pink Floyd collectibles and memorabilia. Since then I have developed a great affinity to your music, and gained many close friends because of it. Every time I'm feeling either upset, happy, or in any mood at all I can put on some Floyd and it will make me feel even better. Your music has made me think, and gotten me through some tough times.

It has also given me incredible memories that will last a life time. Although I have not experienced one of your concerts I wish that one day I will be able to be a member of your audience at even one, if not more, of your shows. You have helped bring out the very best in me and helped contribute in my love for music. And for all that I thank you.

Your Friend,

Daniel
